Checklist before Photography

A picture says more than a thousand words” - a saying that is most apt when it comes to selling and showing your home. Nice pictures often attract the eye and increase interest among speculators. This leads to more visitors at viewings, better spread on social media, and in turn, a higher final price! Therefore, we have put together a checklist to help you with what you should consider before a photography session.

The Entire Home

Feel free to buy flowers, herbs, and plants to have at home for the photoshoot. The home immediately looks much larger, fresher, and more pleasant.

The photographer needs all lights on, so make sure all lights are working.

Of course, your home should look cozy, so if you have nice candleholders at home, feel free to fill them and light the candles before the photoshoot.

Hide or put away personal decorations in all rooms.

Put away personal photographs, pictures, and frames.

Feel free to light the fireplace if it works and is available.

The Kitchen

Tidy up the kitchen so that there are no loose items such as pots, dishes, cords, grease stains, jars, etc.

Remove dishcloths, aprons, and towels

The Bathroom

Remove towels, bathrobes, toothbrushes, bottles, soaps, etc., in the bathroom.

Clean shower stalls, sinks, toilets, tiles, and mirrors.

The Bedroom

Make all beds and lay on bedspreads. Put away clothes and slippers.

If you have large closets, organize and clean them, fold clothes and clear space. Large closets are always attractive in a home.

The Hallway

Remove outerwear, bags, gloves, scarves, and shoes in the hallway.

Dust and clean the living room. Clean tables, shelves, and remove remote controls, cords, and other items that can clutter.

Garden/Balcony/Yard

If you have a balcony or garden, make sure it looks pleasant and tidy.

Feel free to plant a small flower.
